My Beauty

I have kept the post with the info re: Stand Up 2 Cancer down below, but with Pooper's Commercial Debut and all, I thought it only fitting that I post Beauty's debut; a new feature on my blog!

Actually, I mentioned it to My Honey, within ear shot of Beauty, and she was very excited. She immediately started trying on new outfits, because, you see, this new little nugget is called; Being Beauty. It's all about fashion, how to add that extra umph to make your outfit special, and other girly stuff like that.

My inspiration, was this lovely little number. You see, we had plans to go to the local zoo, a small, community zoo, and Beauty immediately ran upstairs and (somehow) managed to find this outfit. Dont adjust your screens, it's WAY TOO SMALL on her. As in, she wears 3T/4T and the outfit is a 24 mos. ensemble.

But, it's LEOPARD print, and she was so excited to dress like a leopard, and even wanted to bring her Leopard webkinz (no way! I can just see some animal feeling taunted by the webkinz and Lord only knows what would happen in such a case.)

Luckily for Beauty, the material had some stretch, and she didnt mind the short "capri" or "3/4" sleeve" lengths, nor the obvious tightness where limbs attach to the body!

Because Im the kind of mom that puts my children's happiness above hearing comments like:

"Cant they afford new clothes for their kids?"

and

"What kind of mother let's their daughter dress like that?"

I let her go to the zoo in her leopard outfit, and she felt ready to commune with the animals.

She pranced around the zoo, like the Beauty that she is, reminding me that Beauty is in the heart, it's part of our spirit, it's becoming a part of nature....and a bunch of other crap like that.

Anyhoo.....here she is.....

Be on the lookout for more The Beauty of Beauty features...and coming up, we spent the weekend at Cancer Camp, so, there is lots to share about that adventure......

So, is it the Best of Beauty or Beauty of Beauty? Either way, I love love LOVE the leopard outfit. Beauty has always loved fashion. I remember when she was just three, and we went shopping for new flip flops. She tried on several pair, walking and pivoting in the store. Some had glitter, some had straw beds, some had suede or cloth. Finally she tried on a pair with rubber soles and immediately said, "Oh, yeah, these have the flip flop sound". They had to slap against the bottom of her feet when she walked! I can't wait for more Beauty on Beauty. Can't wait to hear about Cancer Camp. On that subject, I noticed CHOC had an event at Newport Dunes and they had a black and whitePanda Bear mascot. What happened to CHOCO?

I wish I could have gone with you! I have a leopard blouse I could have worn to match...we could have been twins.

I'm glad to see that you let her wear what she wants. I think it's so cute! She's lucky to have you for a mom. Also, the outfit is a perfect fit!

Gorgeous Beauty! That outfit makes me want to say GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Grandma J is trying to rename this segment, but it I think you said it was "BEING BEAUTY".

I can't wait for the next installment so I can augment my wardrobe. :))

LOL! Yes, I wonder what people think of me when they look at some of the outfits my kids wear.

Yesterday, my 9yo left the house in terry cloth shorts and suede knee high boots. She looked like she was kicked out of a Fleetwood Mac convention.

But that outfit isn't bad at all. I'd just think "capris and 3/4 sleeves."

See? :-)

I placed a space heater under the car and kept working, I did not stop for anything. Some are based from facts, and some from fiction. The morning light is catching their small scales makings it possible to see their specific markings. Craig has already proposed the God Hypothesis.
