Life Interrupted

It's funny, that as the kids scooted off to school (great 1st day pics, which will be up when my IT guy uploads them...), my life slowed down. Suddenly, it was just me, and Little One (who is napping for 3-4 hours of the day), and you would have thought I would have started a blogging frenzy.

Instead, I decided to spend my free time cleaning my house. All my baseboards are dust free, the laundry room floor is visible, and....ERrrrr.....sorry, I didnt mean to lie, I was just caught up in a dream.

Actually, I have had more free time, but it has been poured into my little chocolate business.

I know it sounds frivolous, and silly, and unimportant, but I really believe that God is going to use this to help us crawl out of all the medical debt.

Today marks my 3 month anniversary with Dove Chocolates, and did you know that last week they announced our standing in a new incentive program, and guess who has the most points in the country?? go ahead, guess? It's me!!

Dove chocolates is not new, Mars. Inc is the parent company..makers of M&Ms and Snickers, and they have been around FOREVER. But the "at-home party" line, is new, and honestly, to be at the beginning of a new direct-sales company, is a blessing.

So, I have been busy building my team, and having "chocolate tasting parties", and it's left me too pooped to blog. I mean, I still find time to do the important things, like leave snarky comments on Grandma J's blog , but too tired to journal on my own.

Plus, most of what has been going on has been excitement about my new endeavor, and I figured you all didnt want to hear about THAT....

Id have put up some fun pictures of my kids with their new baby cousin Sophia, or Baby Preston (who is almost 1 year old!!)....but my IT guy has been busy.

As for Pooper's tests....he hasnt had any yet! He feels and looks fine, and Im sure he is, and Ill let you know when the tests are done so we can just confirm that he his well.

Funny thing...Pooper and I had just laid down to take a nap, and he said,

Pooper: Am I average?

Me: (thinking of all the ways he is exceptional)...Um, yeah, you are avarage.

Pooper: Are YOU average?

Me: (thinking of all the ways that *I* am exceptional, lol) Sure, Im average.

Pooper: Oh, good, then just close your eyes, because I read that if the average person closes their eyes and keeps them shut for 7 minutes, they will fall asleep.

All those sleepless nights, apparently, I just needed to close my eyes!

**be back soon ;)

I hosted a chocolate party and it was lots of fun! Great chocolate entertaining ideas that are very yummy and easy. I just made the superfantastic brownies for a duffy boat cruise around Newport. Everyone loved them. And now there are all gone:-(

Mmmm ... the Dove chocolate idea is brilliant and I'm so happy to hear that it's helping with medical bills! It suspect it would be a very, very bad thing for my waistline. (Or, maybe it would be good, because I would eventually get tired of chocolate - does that actually happen?)

I am definitely going to tell my kids about the eyes closed for 7 minutes thing at bedtime tonight!

Hi, there. I am here because I am stalking Grandma J. Don't worry, she already knows I am weird.

I wanted to mention that I used to live in McLean, VA, where the Mars company had (? maybe it still has) its headquarters. Just a bit of trivia. I had no idea they were doing a home-business line.

Also? If you can get Grandma J's camera and post some more pictures of all those men she hung out with on the cruise ship, I'd greatly appreciate it, as would many other females out in the blogosphere.

Give Grandma J a hug and try and keep her outta trouble.

Dear CBW....

There will be no shenanigans going on here re: Grandma J and strange men. She knows I just dont allow it, and it's a heavy price to pay (my scowling) if she crosses the line.

As for the Mars Headquarters....I am currently earning a trip to "Chocolate School" at headquarters in Feb. 09. There will only be a select few that get this prize....and we are all excitedly racing towards the goal. Maybe I can meet you "in real life" when I am out there!!

Awwwwwwww.This was the sweetest post. I missed you and I am glad you are kind of back : ). I am glad you are finding time to clean baseboards. Sadly, mine have not been cleaned since I moved in. I keep meaning to. And then I think of one hundred other things to do besides clean baseboards. Whoops. I want to hear more about your business. Do tell!

Great news about your business! Hope you're having a fun with Grandma J. Given that your IT guy is... ahem .. .in less than a rush to post adorable pictures from the first day of school (something to do with hating your blog??), I'm guessing that CBW will be out of luck regarding the Grandma J photos.

I loved the "average" exchange you had with Pooper. Of course we all know that he is EXCEPTIONAL, not average.

HSH - I am about 3 hours south of Mars HQs but if you had a rental car or spare time you are more than welcome to visit the lovely county I live in. We're not far from Colonial Williamasburg, YOrktown or Jamestown, either, so you could get in some education. I hope you win the trip, I'm sure you will.

Grandma J. turned loose in California would be a treat for those of us living vicariously through her. Maybe she could get out once or twice during her stay?

Have a great visit and be good, but not too good.

I loved the pictures of Beauty, Pooper and Little One. Could those kids be any cuter? Is it possible? I also looked at your business. It looks so cool. You know how a lot of those parties are ANNOYING because you don't want anymore candles or silver jewlery or anything else? Well, who doesn't love chocolate. YUM O! I hope it works out very well for you and helps pay of medical debt. Have a great time with your Mama!

Congratulations! That is exciting. I'm going to try that "average" thing tonight. I hope it works. :)

Cute kid!

I've been too busy and tired to do much quality blogging, too.

I wish you the very best in the Dove business.

I thought of you last night because I made brownies, and I crushed up Dove chocolates to mix in : ). They were good. Hope you are doing well!

I just read your comment on your moms blog about sending the George Bush doll and the William Hung CD directly to the Salvation Army! You are so funny...and thoughtful!
